Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 14, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how MOMENT ("we", "us", the "Site" at playmoment.net) handles information when you visit and play.
Information we collect
MOMENT does not require an account, and we do not ask for your real name, email address, or payment details to play. Personal bests, play count, recent Daily Challenge results, a pseudonymous leaderboard identifier with its server-signed access token, and an optional saved nickname may be stored on your device using browser local storage. You can remove local values by clearing this Site's data in your browser.
Our hosting and leaderboard providers may process standard technical logs such as IP address, browser and device type, approximate region, requested endpoint, referrer, and timestamps to operate, secure, and prevent abuse of the Site. The leaderboard also keeps short-lived, non-reversible rate-limit buckets derived from network addresses with a secret-keyed hash; the raw address is not placed in the ranking database by MOMENT.
Optional ONE LIFE global leaderboard
You can play every mode without publishing a global result. If you choose to publish a verified ONE LIFE run, we publicly display only your chosen nickname with a six-character discriminator (for example, QuietOrb#01A2BC) and best cleared level for the current season. Do not use your real name or contact information as a nickname.
To operate and verify the ranking, we store a pseudonymous player identifier, season, course seed, game ruleset version, cleared level, movement total, one-use run identifier, verification-attempt count, replay hash, and achievement timestamps. During submission, the server temporarily processes quantized in-game pointer positions and frame intervals needed to replay the run and verify collisions. The raw movement replay is discarded after verification; only its SHA-256 hash is retained.
The leaderboard database and verification API are provided by Supabase. A publishable score remains until you replace it with a higher level, remove it using the leaderboard's removal control, ask us to remove it, or the season data is retired. Clearing browser storage removes your local anonymous identifier but does not automatically remove a result already published online.
Your leaderboard choices
Publishing is optional and requires an explicit button press after a verified run. You may remove the result from the leaderboard panel. If you cleared browser data and can no longer use that control, contact hello@playmoment.net with the public nickname and level so we can review a deletion request. Your local device record is separate and is not deleted when you remove an online result.
